The last… 2.5 km of the road is unsealed, and quite potholed. With easy parking, picnic spots and barbecue facilities, it’s a fantastic day trip. There is also a great hiking track to the base of the waterfall where you can take a dip – allow for 3-4 hours if you are doing the base walk, there are stairs and boardwalk in sections as well as large boulders to navigate, so a moderate level of fitness and mobility is required for the base walk.
