- The Beaches

The walking track, leading up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse and Australia’s most easterly point, runs along the coastline from Clarkes Beach to Wategos. There is a pause at every turn along this walk. With magnificent views over the beaches, you can spot an abundance of marine life such as dolphins, whales, turtles and manta rays. There is also plenty of wildlife to be seen along the track including wallabies and water dragons. What’s more, when you reach the top, you’ll have a 360-degree view of the Pacific Ocean!
Sunrise and Sunset are particularly magical as you watch the sky melt away in spectacular colours from the best vantage point in the Bay.

- The Macadamia Castle & Animal Park
The Macadamia Castle / Animal Park, located in the Byron Bay Hinterland is a great day out for children and parents. Enjoy lunch and a coffee at the café and help feed the animals, which include adorable lambs, chickens, goats, ducks, alpacas, calves, kangaroos and for the brave, snakes and lizards. At the end of the day take home some of the delicious macadamia products to snack on.
- Crystal Castle& Shambhala Gardens
Also located in the Byron Bay Hinterland, the Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens is a magical place to spend the day. Stroll through the Buddha garden, see some of the world’s biggest crystals and enjoy some fresh, local food at the Lotus Café, with breath-taking views over the Byron hinterland. The café is also located right next door to the ‘Fireheart’ Crystal Dragon Playground so you can relax and enjoy a meal or drink while the kids play.

From the local farmer’s market where you will find a wide array of fresh produce and locally made products to the artisan markets that showcase local clothing, jewellery, ceramics, skincare and much more.
