Each year the majestic Humpback Whales make their huge migration north from Antartica to give birth in warmer waters during Winter and then travel back down the coast with their calves as Summer approaches.
Byron Bay is one of the unique locations where the whales come quite close to shore as they round the Byron Bay headland, which gives you the opportunity to view these beautiful creatures up close.
There are a few ways to view and get up close to the Humpbacks – Whale Watching tours, Kayak tours & spotting them from the Cape Byron Lighthouse.
